Fashion and Design for social cause

Having been raised in a family deeply rooted in the clothing business, I developed a keen interest in textiles and fashion design. During the pandemic, I took the initiative to learn about fashion illustrations and shoe design through freely available online resources. Through dedicated practice, I honed my skills and garnered significant attention from family members, staff, and educators at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

In mid-2023, I established a clothing stall at a local fair, investing a substantial portion of my savings into the venture. Collaborating with ten local artisans, I provided them with sewing
tools and fabrics to produce garments based on my designs. Although the stall operated for just three days due to my academic commitments, we achieved sales amounting to approximately 70,000 taka from an initial investment of 41,500 taka.

By my plan, I distributed the profits back to the families of the local artisans while conserving a portion for future initiatives. By November 2023, I self-funded a clothing distribution project specifically aimed at aiding street children in impoverished areas, thus making a meaningful contribution to the well-being of the community.
